Optimum and Southwest Women’s Oncology are seeking a dedicated and driven Chief Financial
Officer to join our high-performance team in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

What You’ll Do
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team.
- Provide financial insight, analysis, and recommendations to support growth, capital
planning, and long-term strategy. - Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year financial planning processes across
both entities.
Financial Operations & Reporting
- Oversee the preparation, accuracy, and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual
financial statements. - Manage accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable,
payroll, and month-end close. - Ensure consistent financial policies, controls, and reporting standards across Optimum
and SWWO.
Cash Flow, Capital & Risk Management
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support operational and strategic
needs. - Oversee banking relationships, financing strategies, and capital allocation decisions.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks, including insurance
coverage.
Healthcare Finance, Compliance & Revenue Cycle
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, CMS regulations, HIPAA, and federal and state healthcare
financial laws. - Partner with clinical and administrative leaders to monitor revenue cycle performance,
including billing, collections, and reimbursements. - Oversee audits, tax planning, and regulatory reporting
Systems, Controls & Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate, implement, and optimize financial systems, tools, and internal controls.
- Improve reporting efficiency, visibility, and decision support through data and
dashboards. - Maintain and enhance accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online) and financial models.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team.
- Set clear expectations, build strong processes, and foster accountability.
- Serve as a trusted leader across the organization.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA and/or MBA strongly
preferred. - 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior executive-level
responsibility. - Proven experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or Director of Finance in a healthcare setting.
- Deep knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, payer mix, revenue cycle management,
and regulatory requirements. - Strong grasp of GAAP, financial controls, and audit processes.
- Experience with financial systems and tools, including QuickBooks Online and advanced
Excel. - Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
- High integrity, sound judgment, and comfort handling sensitive information.
