Southwest Women’s Oncology is rapidly expanding and looking for a dedicated and driven Chemotherapy Registered Nurse to join their high-performance team. SWWO’S integrated team of healthcare professionals is committed to providing a safe, caring, and curative experience for their patients. Southwest Women’s Oncology’s sole intent is to cure cancer and achieve the best possible outcomes for their patients.
Position Responsibilities:
- Administer chemotherapy treatments to patients as prescribed by oncologists.
- Monitor and assess patient reactions to treatments, ensuring immediate and appropriate care.
- Educate patients and families about chemotherapy protocols, potential side effects, and post-treatment care.
- Collaborate with oncologists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting all treatment-related details.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control policies.
- Provide emotional support to patients throughout their treatment journey.
- Stay updated on the latest oncology care guidelines and chemotherapy protocols.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of New Mexico.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in oncology nursing or chemotherapy administration.
- Oncology Nursing Certification (ONS
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment.
- Compassionate and patient-centered care approach.
- Demonstrates a genuine passion for delivering exceptional care, consistently striving to ensure their comfort, well-being, and satisfaction
