Position Responsibilities:

The Director of Finance will oversee the financial operations of Dan Martell, providing strategic direction, leadership, and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting, and budgeting efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management, strategic planning, and leadership, with the ability to navigate the unique challenges of working with a high-profile individual and organization. This role requires a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism

This role includes:

  • Financial Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies to support Dan Martells short-term and long-term goals.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks; provide actionable insights and recommendations.
    • Collaborate with the client and other key stakeholders to set financial targets and monitor performance against these targets.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Oversee the preparation and management of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
    • Monitor and report on budget variances, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and present detailed financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
    • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Cash Flow and Treasury Management:
    • Manage the client's cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations and investments.
    • Oversee treasury functions, including banking relationships, investments, and debt management.
  • Risk Management and Compliance:
    • Identify and manage financial risks, including insurance, investments, and credit risks.
    • Ensure compliance with all financial, tax, and legal requirements; coordinate with legal and tax advisors as necessary.
    • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial records.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing finances for high-profile clients, private individuals, or organizations.
  • Strong understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with high-profile clients and stakeholders.
